Individual & Team Decision Matrix
|
To decide which design would best fit our ever-changing prototype, my group and I designed individual and team decision matrices. We had predetermined criteria on which our designs would be evaluated based on what we deemed to be the most important aspects of our product. Ultimately, the teddy bear design was scored the highest out of the 3 possible designs.

Life Cycle Assessment
With the world constantly dealing with environmental issues such as pollution and global warming, we wanted to make sure that our product had a life cycle that would not contribute to the growing list of environmental disasters. To do this, we conducted a life cycle assessment of the RoboBuddy to determine how our product would affect the environment throughout its life cycle, from initial purchase to disposal.

Onshape 3D Modeling Tutorials
Reflection
During the third design step, I have sharpened my creative design skills. Through the design and product analysis processes, I had to think of creative ways to market and design our product. I learned how to use 3D modeling software as well as make rough sketches of designs. I now have the ability to adequately use Onshape and draw somewhat cohesively. One example of how I used these skills was during the design process. I was very fond of the teddy bear design for our project, so I volunteered top do the sketch for the design of that version of our product.
There are a few things that I could work on, however. One thing that I need to work on is my work ethic as of late. With the COVID pandemic raging, I have let go of some of my strict principles. However, I am making a change and getting back on track! Another thing that I need to work on is my focus. When given free reign to do work with my friends, I can get distracted. Even though I have improved on this in the past few days, I still feel like I could improve my focus and drive even more.
