Onshape 3D Design
During this design step, our group began work on the design of our RoboBuddy prototype. We created 3D models that displayed the body of our robot and also created working machines with the Onshape tutorials. This step brought us closer to our goal of creating our prototype and being able to share the RoboBuddy with the class and the world!

Simscale and Tinkercad Tutorials
We completed tutorials on the websites Tinkercad and Simscale in order to learn several things about designing a product. Simscale taught us how to run simulations and Tinkercad taught us all about circuits and electrical engineering as a whole. Overall, this brought us another step closer to the completed design of the RoboBuddy.

Tests

To make sure that our robot's software was working properly, my group and I tested our Web Speech API's capabilities. We tested how well the robot understood different accents as well as how far away one could speak with the robot. Our evaluation criteria was based on how many words the RoboBuddy understood out of a whole statement.

During the fourth design step, I have sharpened my creative design skills. Through the design process, I had to think of creative ways to market and design our product. I learned how to create original designs in 3D modeling software, straying away from the tutorials that I was so comfortable with. I was able to design the head and arms of our robot completely from my imagination. One example of how I used these skills was during the design process. Like I previously stated, I designed the arms and head of the RoboBuddy using my creative design skills.
There are a few things that I could work on, however. One thing that I need to work on is my collaboration. Lately, I feel as though our group has become 4 separate teams each doing their own thing rather than 1 unit working together. I hope that along with my group, we can fix this issue and become better than ever! Another thing that I need to work on is my Simscale work. While I was able to follow the tutorial given to us, I doubt that I am familiar enough with the software to run any simulations on my own. However, I will study and get to know this software better!
